Ok wow what a scank

The throttle controller is just a multiplier, simple. When you depress the accelerator, the module on the accelerator sends an electronic signal to the ECU, which responds accordingly. A throttle controller sits between the accelerator and the ECU. So for example, you depress the accelerator giving it say 25% input, the throttle controller tricks the ECU into thinking you've given it 50 or 60% input. Hence the perception that it is more responsive. It's not. Pressing your foot down harder yeilds the exact same response from the ECU. It just appears more responsive with less foot input because it's multiplying the signal.

Awesome video, Bridget. I lived & worked at Ayers Rock Resort for 2 years, 20 years ago. I was able to climb Uluru back then, which was amazing, but one thing I regret doing out there, was the Valley of the Kings walk at the Olgas. Also, I did the Canyon Rum Walj at Kings Canyon. Definitely recommend the effort to explore this amazing region of the Northern Territory.

That region is stunning, if you’re up that way again. Certainly check out Henbury Meteorites Craters. It’s just up the road from Kings Canyon. The craters something else and the camp spot there is stunning and very quiet!

I'm on the wrong side of 50 and still haven't seen western QLD, let alone the red centre.

alas bit far for me to get to with my old Hilux N70. Only got 330k of your "down under KM"s and not miles.. Would happily drive from England in the 'Red Baron' FYI my 2010 Hilux came with factory rear locker... which never happened in Oz. You only had the 3 litre engine, and while 90% or something like that here are the 3 litre, there was also a 2.5 litre engine, which had mechanical rear locker.. while the 3 litre here, same as down under was more electrics etc and not a true diff locker. I have your Pedders heavy duty suspension, and a few other mods. with a fibreglass camper pod on the rear. I cant fly.. i hate it... actually i like flying, its the crashing part i dont like.

Think about adding some chassis bracing, that chassis flex when you were bogged is the first sign of leading to a bent chassis. GVM upgrades usually do nothing to address the weakest point of a dual cab - the chassis between the cab and tray (or losing a bit of weight).

When your bogged, try not to bunny hop your car like in 23:24. It puts a huge amount of stress on your chasis/mounts and could leak to cracking. Best just to back off the throttle and let the winch/snatch do there thing.

when i used to drive diggers i used to cook a large pizza for lunch on top of the motor if you didn't wrap it enough you would get a slight oily diesel seasoning can't beat a cooked lunch though . Can't wait for the next episode.
